We left Wongomalo and Wamena a long time ago. We almost forgot the heat of the humid jungle, shaky decrepitude of the ladders leading into the houses on trees and the self-confident calm and slow Papuans. Oh, yes, our house walls are decorated with picturesque masks, bows and arrows, and our albums are full of unusual pictures.
